Why we built YardHire

Finding a good tradesperson in Jamaica usually comes down to who you know. Ask around, hope for the best, and wait. If you are new to an area, or the person you always call is booked, you are stuck.

Good tradespeople have the opposite problem. They do excellent work, but getting found means word of mouth and luck. There was no single place where a customer could see who is genuinely qualified, what other people thought of their work, and how to reach them.

YardHire is that place. Customers describe the job and receive real quotes from verified tradespeople nearby. Tradespeople get a profile that shows their work, their credentials and their reviews. Nobody pays us a commission — you deal with your tradesperson directly.

What “verified” means

Not every tradesperson carries every badge. Each one is a separate check, and a profile only shows the ones we have actually done.

  Government-issued photo ID checked as part of our verification process.

• Qualifications on File

  Qualification or certification documents have been submitted to YardHire. We do not independently verify them with the issuing institution.

• Insurance on File

  Insurance documentation has been submitted to YardHire. We do not independently verify or guarantee the cover.
